Strange Banding / Scan Lines Not Visible

Gaps in lines in the Preview window

Description

Alternating black and relatively lighter gray lines appear, or individual scan lines are not visible.

Solution

  • Banding sometimes occurs as an artifact of rendering the Preview at certain zoom levels. Zoom in or out to eliminate banding.

  • Especially with relatively low Line Interval values, individual scan lines will not be visible at distant zoom levels. Zoom in to see individual scan lines.
